Botox® works by targeting the small muscles of the face and damping down their contraction, thus softening lines and wrinkles. In general, the results should last four to six months.

Lip Fillers
Lip fillers help restore and add lost volume to the lips. It also helps to soften fine lines around the mouth including smokers lines.. With an instant result which improves as the product settles and can last about 12 months. Lip fillers contain Hyaluronic Acid, a natural hydration substance that the body produces. The material plumps up the skin, fills wrinkles and adds volume and definition. This substance is broken down over time and reabsorbed into the body resulting in a non-permanent cosmetic effect. Dr. Lorraine uses Aliaxin® by IBSA who also produce our popular Profhilo treatment.
The treatment is offered per 1ml – you can choose to have less than 1ml and reassess during the treatment as the effect takes place so that you are satisfied with the end result.
There is the option to add an injectable local anesthetic to the treatment plan for a more comfortable experience. This incurs an additional cost of €30.

Dermal Fillers
Restore volume, diminish wrinkles, soften lines, and enhance facial contours with injectable fillers. Treatment areas include the cheeks, nasal labials, marionettes & wrinkles. Dr. Lorraine uses JUVÉDERM® by Allergan. Fillers should typically last up to 6 months.
Profhilo
Profhilo is a pure Hyaluronic Gel injection which stimulates 4 different types of collagen and elastin. Treatment areas include the face, neck and arms. Note that a follow up treatment is required within 4-6 weeks of the first initial treatment, after which 6 month maintenance treatments are recommended.
Profhilo Body uses a similar technology as Profhilo treatment, but with a higher percentage of hyaluronic acid. Profhilo Body package pricing is based on 2 treatments, 5 weeks apart and includes a take-home Profhilo Body hyaluronic acid serum and three hyaluronic acid pads.

Scar treatment
Dr Lorraine would inject a corticosteroid solution directly into the hypertrophic scar. This helps breakdown the bonds between collagen fibers, which reduces and softens the amount of scar tissue beneath the skin. This treatment usually results in significant improvement in the appearance of hypertrophic scar and is popular for caesarean section, surgical incision, acne and burn scars. Depending on the age and size of the scar, several treatments may be necessary and results take three to six months. Best results are found with use on recent scar tissue. This treatment is not suitable for a keloid scar or stretch marks.
Aqualyx fat dissolving injection
Aqualyx is a non-surgical fat dissolving injection treatment. The procedure uses a solution of deoxycholic acid to safely and effectively eliminate small, stubborn pockets of fat which resist diet and exercise. It produces long lasting and effective results and is ideal for individuals that are close to their ideal body weight but with small stubborn areas of fat that have resisted diet and exercise.
Common treatment areas are double chins, saddle bags, inner thighs, arms (bingo wings) and abdomen – including defining a six pack.
The number of Aqualyx treatments required varies depending on the size of the fatty deposit. Typically 1-3 treatments for small areas, such as the jowls and under the chin, and 2-8 treatments for larger areas such as the thighs. Treatments are spaced at 6 weekly intervals.
Immediately after treatment you may appear red and swollen with some bruising on the treated area. Aqualyx works by causing an inflammatory reaction in the fat cells which can result in swelling for 3-5 days. The treated area may feel tender and firm for up to 6 weeks post treatment.
PRP – Platelet Rich Plasma injection with micro-needling
More commonly known as the ‘Vampire Facial’ or ‘Vampire Facelift’.
The PRP injection works by using your own platelet cells from a portion of your own blood, rich in growth factors and stem cells to regenerate and remodel the skin while naturally increasing elasticity and collagen production. The skin is re-plumped and rejuvenated; fine lines and wrinkles are reduced to create a youthful, radiant glow.
PRP injections are hugely successful in the treatment of areas such as crow’s feet, “crepey” eyelids, thinning hair, acne scars and wrinkles.
The beauty of having a PRP treatment is that it uses your own blood; it contains no foreign or synthetic chemicals and therefore has no side effects. The result is smoother, younger looking skin with results continuing to improve over a period of 6-12 weeks.
A course of 6 treatments are recommended, the first 3 at 4 week intervals and the second 3 at 12 week intervals.
